Get Out of Your Head

The Ladies’ Sunday Night Bible Study is back! With social distancing
precautions, we will not be meeting in homes, but we will meet in the
Fellowship Hall on Sunday nights from 6-7 p.m.A group of volunteers will
sanitize before and after the gathering. A nursery will be provided. Space
capacity will be 60 total women to ensure a safe distance.
We will be studying “Get Out of Your Head” by Jennie Allen. We will be
using the book, not the workbook, andindividuals are asked to purchase books individually. Books will not be available for purchase at the Bible study.
Also, it is NOT required to purchase a book; just listening to the weekly video
during the Bible study time and discussion would also be an option!
From the RightNow media website, the book is described: Are your thoughts
holding you captive? Jennie Allen knows what it’s like to swirl in a spiral of
destructive thoughts, such as I’ll never be good enough. Other people
have better lives than I do. God couldn’t really love me. But Jennie also knows
we don’t have to stay stuck in toxic thinking patterns. As she discovered, God
built a way for us to escape that downward spiral. Freedom comes when we
refuse to be victims to our thoughts and realize we have already been
equipped with power from God to fight and win the war for our minds.
In Get Out of Your Head, Jennie takes groups on a study in Philippians, inspiring and equipping us to transform
our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. When we submit our
minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways. It starts in your head.
And from there, the possibilities are endless.
We will meet the following Sunday evenings:
Sept. 13
Sept 20
Sept. 27
Oct. 4
Oct 11
Oct 18
Oct 25
Remember, a large percentage of this group does not belong to our church, so this is a great opportunity to step
out of your comfort zones and invite that woman God has laid on your heart to pursue for a relationship!
