Meet Our Staff
Chris is married to Amber and has two kids. Their son, Bryson, is a music major at Wayland Baptist University and their daughter, Dawson, graduated from Idalou High School and attends Wayland as Christian Studies and Business Administration major. As pastor of FBC Idalou, Chris strives to preach sermons and teach Bible studies that make an eternal difference. He wants to help people impact their OIKOS with friendships that make a difference and point people to Christ. Chris loves to umpire girls fast pitch softball, chase the kids to their activities, and currently serves as a volunteer firefighter with Idalou VFD.
Minister of Worship
Jim is Music Minister at FB Idalou and is married to Misty. and together they have 7 kids ranging from 34 yrs old to 13. Kelis and Jasey still live at home. He prepares the worship music, leads rehearsals, and assists with the sound technology used in the services. His desire is for everyone to experience the presence of God through the expression of praise and worship, both corporately and personally. He enjoys playing word games and being with Misty, tennis and video games with the kids, praciticing instruments, music arranging and learning software.
Mary joined the staff in December 2017 as the Administrative Assistant; she is responsible for the secretarial and bookkeeping duties. She enjoys helping in all areas of the church as needed. Mary is married to Rick and they have 3 daughters, Cassidy, Hailey, and Madison. She likes to spend time with family & friends, and cannot start her day without a cup of coffee.
Minister of Senior Adults
Vestal is Married to Carol Jean. Formerly a missionary in Africa, Vestal has a heart for missions. This heart for missions is seen through is heart for people. Vestal makes many hospital and home visits. Vestal plans opportunities for the Senior Adults to go out and do ministry. He has done this through the Exodus Prison Ministry and through various trips that he has organized. Vestal loves to tell stories, minister to others and spend time with his family.
