Chris Riley


Chris is married to Amber and has two kids. Their son, Bryson, is a music major at Wayland Baptist University and their daughter, Dawson, graduated from Idalou High School and attends Wayland as Christian Studies and Business Administration major. As pastor of FBC Idalou, Chris strives to preach sermons and teach Bible studies that make an eternal difference. He wants to help people impact their OIKOS with friendships that make a difference and point people to Christ. Chris loves to umpire girls fast pitch softball, chase the kids to their activities, and currently serves as a volunteer firefighter with Idalou VFD.

Efrain Gonzalez

Associate Pastor of Students & Communication

Efrain is married to Jennifer and has 2 children. Lexi is a senior in high school and is involved in cheerleading and softball. Jacob is a freshman and is involved in football, basketball and track. Efrain and Jennifer met while attending Wayland Baptist University and both graduated from there.  Efrain with a BA in Religion and Jennifer with a BS is Biology and MA in Psychology.  He and Jennifer have been married for 20 years and have been serving in full time ministry for 20 years as well.  His desire is to help students Love God, Love Others and Make Christ Known.

Mary McKinnon

Church Secretary

Mary joined the staff in December 2017 as the Administrative Assistant; she is responsible for the secretarial and bookkeeping duties. She enjoys helping in all areas of the church as needed. Mary is married to Rick and they have 3 daughters, Cassidy, Hailey, and Madison.  She likes to spend time with family & friends, and cannot start her day without a cup of coffee.


Vestal is Married to Carol Jean. Formerly a missionary in Africa, Vestal has a heart for missions. This heart for missions is seen through is heart for people. Vestal makes many hospital and home visits. Vestal plans opportunities for the Senior Adults to go out and do ministry. He has done this through the Exodus Prison Ministry and through various trips that he has organized. Vestal loves to tell stories, minister to others and spend time with his family.
